Green Day เป็นวงร็อคจากอเมริกา เริ่มฟอร์มวงในปี 1987โดยสมาชิก 3 คนคือ Billie Joe Armstrong (กีตาร์, ร้องนำ), Mike Dirnt (เบส) และ Tré Cool (กลอง) มียอดขายอัลบั้มทั่วโลกมากกว่า 60 ล้านชุด รวมถึง 22 ล้านชุดเฉพาะในสหรัฐอเมริกา และได้รับรางวัลแกรมมี่ 3 ครั้งสาขา Best Alternative Album จากอัลบั้ม Dookie, Best Rock Album จากอัลบั้ม American Idiot, และ Record of the Year จากเพลง “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” กรีนเดย์เคยมาเปิดแสดงคอนเสิร์ตในประเทศไทยแล้ว 2 ครั้ง ครั้งแรกเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2539 ณ เอ็มบีเค ฮอลล์ และครั้งที่สองในชื่อ ทเวนตี้-เฟิร์ส เซ็นทูรี เบรกดาวน์ ทัวร์ เมื่อวันที่ 12 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2553 ณ อิมแพ็ค อารีนา เมืองทองธานี ล่าสุด Green Dayได้รับรางวัล Grammy สาขา Best Rock Album ในงานประกาศรางวัล Grammy Awards ครั้งที่ 52 จัดขึ้นที่ สเตเปิลส์เซ็นเตอร์ ลอสแอนเจลิส รัฐแคลิฟอร์เนีย ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา เมื่อวันที่ 31 มกราคม ปี 2010. เห็นเพลงนี้ทางทีวีจำไม่ได้ว่าช่องอะไร เปิดเพลงนี้พร้อมภาพเหตุการณ์ความวุ่ยวายในเมืองไทย เลยนำเพลงนี้ของ Green Day มาฝากครับเพราะความหมายของเพลงคือพยายามไม่ให้เกิดความรุนแรงในโลกใบนี้ ^^
เมื่อประมาณปี 2006 Mike Shinoda สมาชิกวง Linkin Park สร้างผลงาน Fort Minor ดนตรี hip-hop ที่ผมฟังครั้งแรกก็ชอบทันทีโดยไม่มีเหตุผล เพลงนี้ไม่ใช่มีเพียงกลิ่นอายของ hip-hop เพียงอย่างเดียวแต่ผสมแนว alternative rock เข้าไปด้วย เพลงที่ผมชอบก็คือ Believe Me ^^
